What is Pinhole?
Pinhole is a defect characterized by vortex-like holes in the paint film, typically caused by water in the air compressor, oil stains on the bottle surface, or contamination in the paint itself.
What Causes Pinhole?
To identify the cause: drain the water from the air compressor, test with a different paint that has not shown pinholing, or switch to another bottle type. If pinholing still occurs, the causes may be traced to the air compressor, oil stains on the bottle, or issues with the production line.
How to Resolve Pinhole?
Solution: Based on the identified cause, try draining the air compressor to remove water or clean the oil stains from the bottle. If the issue persists, you can add a leveling agent at a concentration of no more than 0.5%. Note: The amount of leveling agent should not exceed 0.5%, as it may affect the adhesion of decals.
